1984 CORVETTE for Sale WAS $3,850 now$1995 obo

** 1984 Corvette for sale, driven to work daily, but in need of restoration. Click each Corvette thumbnail below to view full-size picture. I purchased this Corvette from its original owner in 2000. This red Corvette has automatic transmission, a/c, ps, pw, pdl, tilt, cc, Bose stereo, removable moon roof, mileage unknown. Below these Corvette pics is a description of condition and known issues.

I started the asking price for this Corvette at $3,850 but that could change if new issues appear and/or as the restoration process progresses. Reason for selling this Corvette is I just have too many projects and limited space to park them.

This Corvette needs a good new home, someone who would like a Corvette to drive while restoring it to its original beauty. This Corvette lives in Las Vegas, NV.

ISSUE	COMMENT (You may need to allow pop-ups to view these links*)
Broken driver door handle	Need replaced (along with some retaining clips). Parts available HERE.
LH headlight gear worn	Need replaced. Part available HERE or HERE.
Brake pads worn	New pads included, need installed. Probably need new power brake booster too.
Bad coolant fan sensor	New sensor included (Temporary workaround: auxiliary switch installed)
Bad ignition switch (works 90% of time)	Temporary workaround: auxilliary ignition switch is installed
Body damage right rear	Appears to be cosmetic with no frame damage. Definitely repairable.
Bad RH window switch	Need replaced. Part available HERE.
LH power door lock switch	Need replaced (original is ugly, but works [part is cheap]). Part available HERE.
Interior	Carpet is ok, but seats need reupholstered, dash cover is sun-rotted, see pics.
Bad A/C clutch cycling switch	New one included, needs installed.
Odometer	Odometer stopped at 135k, trip od still works. Best estimate 185k miles.
Instrument lights	Stop working when go over bump, possibly loose connection?
Dash	Broken plastic where headlamp switch is, need repaired (glued) or replaced.
Cruise Control	Recently stopped working, possibly a blown fusible link?
Clock and radio, misc.	Worked fine, but now blows fuses. Haven't had time to trace problem, probably pinched or bare wire. Power antenna works fine. Rear window defroster - not sure if working or not, but indicator light works (not much chance to use this in LV).
Mechanical	Runs fine, engine and transmission, but due to mileage would probably require a rebuild for a top notch restoration. * Update October, 2006: Corvette has developed severe vibration in drive train. I replaced u-joints (outer joint was very bad) on driver side axle shaft. Severe vibration persists, possibly the u-joints on the front driveshaft. This looks like a lot of labor to replace, therefore I have reduced the price accordingly., as car can be driven onto a trailer, but I wouldn't drive it much further than that. I want to sell this Corvette now, as I just don't have time for it. Make me a cash offer that I can't refuse now! *Update October, 2009: Corvette has been sitting too long (my inability to start the engine regularly due to an illness), and fuel pump is bad. It needs a fuel pump and a battery before it will start. I am finished putting work into it and want to just sell it as it is.

New U Joints installed in left axle shaft
